Who is Gov. Tim Waltz?
Tim Walz assumed office as Minnesota’s 41st governor in January 2019. He was re-elected in 2022 and is a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL). ​
He was born on April 6, 1964, in the small town of West Point, Nebraska. After graduating from high school in Butte, he joined the Army National Guard and served for 24 years, rising to the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
